Reminder to all drivers who operate in the state of New Jersey
All trucking companies making pick-ups or deliveries in New Jersey are required by the state to pay the Corporate Business Tax. The tax is applied to all companies and drivers, whether or not they have a terminal in the US. Failure to comply will result in costly fines and the risk of having their equipment impounded.
In a recent incident, a truck and trailer was held until the owner was required to pay $7,700 in USD.
